History of Market Master Wax, Inc.
In 1952, Market Master brand vegetable wax was formulated by W. Hugh Oglesby. Since that time, Market Master Wax has been produced and distributed by the Oglesby Family throughout the United States and Mexico. In recent years, the wax has been distributed by Southern Automatics, Inc. and Market Master Products, Inc. We've seen many changes in the produce industry and in our business, but because we have established a loyal customer base by offering a quality product at a competitive price, the wax is still produced and distributed today by Market Master Wax, Inc. Application of Market Master WaxOur wax is carefully blended using ingredients strictly regulated and approved by the FDA for human consumption. One gallon of undiluted and properly applied Market Master Wax will protect approximately 50,000 pounds of cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, ginger and other similar fruits and vegetables. Market Master Wax will enhance the shelf-life of your produce by enabling it to retain its moisture longer, while also providing a high-gloss luster from packaging, through shipping, to the receiver. Market Master Wax will not dull, yellow, or turn milky white, and when properly applied, the wax will not have the greasy feel that so many consumers complain about.
